Hello, I’m Luque.
What a better photo to write few lines about me than this one. Here you can see a Tupolev Tu-144 cockpit that can be found in the Technik Museum Sinsheim. Like the Concorde, is a supersonic airplane. As you can assume, I’m a freak about all this big machines. That motivated me to study Chemical Engineering, a Industrial Engineering field which deals with the study of the operation and design of chemical plants as well as methods of improving production.
But there is another topics that I’m obsessed with: Everyting related to the IT environment. I remember my first videogame, Half-Life and few years later, Half Life 2. Those games changed my mind, because the included a quite interesting SDK… A child with the possibility of create a videogame, you can imagine. That includes many topics, modeling, create web pages, coding…
Later on, when I joined a large Internet Service Provider (ISP), I had no idea how much it would change my life. Coming from a completely different academic background, I quickly realized that my unique perspective allowed me to approach challenges in unconventional ways. What others saw as routine, I saw as an opportunity to innovate and improve.
I became fascinated with the complexities of network infrastructure and dedicated myself to making things better. Over the years, I focused on enhancing the networks I worked with, and I soon discovered the transformative power of automation. By automating repetitive tasks, I not only saved time and reduced errors but also opened the door to more efficient and scalable operations.
This passion for automation extended beyond private networks to public clouds. I found ways to streamline processes and implement solutions that were both cost-effective and groundbreaking. Thinking differently and embracing innovation allowed me to achieve substantial cost savings while maintaining high performance and reliability.
Looking back, I’m proud of how far I’ve come and how my unconventional approach has made a difference. My journey in telecommunications has been about more than just technology—it’s been about learning, growing, and finding new ways to solve old problems. And I’m excited to see where this path will take me next.
Now, I decided to start a blog to share what I learnt and what I’m learning, because sharing knowledge is the only way to make our network better.
